'I tried viral M&S coffee hack which tastes exactly like popular chocolate bar'

I might be a bit late to the party, but one Marks & Spencer coffee hack was all over social media this summer. As with any viral TikTok, you'll know that things often sell out - making it hard for the rest of us to try.

So for International Coffee Day (October 1), I decided to see if I could get my ingredients to make the viral M&S coffee drink, which is supposed to taste exactly like a Kinder Bueno. I love this chocolate bar, which is made up of creamy hazelnut, smooth chocolate and crispy wafer, so making a drink with these flavours sounds like heaven in a glass to me.

I still see videos popping up on TikTok showing how to make it - and it couldn't be more simple. You only need three ingredients, all of which can be picked up from M&S. First you need the Vanilla & White Chocolate Milkshake, Iced Coffee Latte and the Sugar Free Hazelnut Syrup.

Although you only need three ingredients, it turned out I needed to go to four different M&S Simply Food's before I found all the ingredients - because at least one item was sold out in each shop. In fact, the large bottle of the Iced Coffee Latte was sold out in all the shops, but I realised they had small versions by where all the sandwiches are - score!

In terms of the recipe, it couldn't be more simple. Fill a glass with ice - and the consensus seems to be to fill the glass half full with the Iced Coffee Latte, top it up with the Milkshake, and then add some of the hazelnut syrup.

I had very high hopes for this, as others who had tried it online said they were "obsessed" with it, another claimed it was "divine" - and someone else chimed it "tasted EXACTLY like a Kinder Bueno". So after my mission to find all the ingredients I was ready to try it.

And I have to admit, I was super impressed - this does taste exactly like a Kinder Bueno. It was delicious, but I do think you have to be careful with how much hazelnut syrup you put in. As you can imagine, this is a very sweet drink, so you don't want to overpower it with a sweet syrup.

Some people also use M&S's Hazelnut Spread inside the glass, and although I can imagine this is delicious, I don't think it's necessary. I would 100% recommend this - 10/10.
